Roundwood are looking for a new GS....

Roundwood Netball Club is looking to bolster their attacking force. We have previously worked with 2 shooting attackers and have been successful in our quest to climb the Divisions year after year. We have continued to improve year on year and with this our 3rd year in Division 1 we are looking to go on and triumph in our division and continue into the filter league.

We work in a squad system with all players versatile. We consider GS- Goal Shooter to be a niche skill and are keen to meet new skilled shooters who have played at a high level either at County, 1st team University or simply talented shooters who are looking for a new team in order to progress their own skills and improve their social.

2006/07 Season in summary...

The 2006/07 bought another increase in players to Roundwood, especially in the junior section of the club.  We stuck to having two teams in each league, and both teams performed brilliantly throughout the season.  Roundwood A team finished 3rd in division 1in the Croydon League making a huge improvement on their 5th position from last year, which we are now working to improve on once again for the 2007/08 season.  Roundwood B finished 4th in the Croydon League which is a huge credit to both themselves and the club.  

This year, Roundwood are losing many of their B team as they head off to different universities across the country.  We would like to wish them all luck in their studies for the future and hope they have a fantastic time at uni.  Make sure you come back to us when you finish though!!  

The 2007/08 season will bring the introduction of Roundwood C team.  They will be starting in division 7 in the MET league.  Good Luck girls.

Calling all juniors...

Roundwood have recently started a junior section within the club for 10-14 year olds.  Training takes place at Croydon High School on Old Farleigh Road in Selsdon on a Thursday evening between 6.30-7.30pm. For more information, please email sara69marsh@hotmail.com
